Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Director of Facility Engineering, Re-Refineries, to lead engineering oversight, design, permitting, installation and start-up of new processes and equipment across our refineries. The Director will support Operations and Maintenance with troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role will consider candidates in Kingsland, GA, East Chicago, IN and Reno, NV, with travel of 25-50% expected.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in engineering roles.
• Experience in waste industry design and hazardous waste plant design.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight for design, permitting, installation and start-up of new processes and equipment.
• Support operations with troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Coordinate with procurement, project controls and operations to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
• Review drawings and documents (P&IDs, electrical, mechanical) for accuracy and current status.
• Manage multiple facility engineering projects and prioritize workloads.
