Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Head of Facilities to lead the company’s facilities function across the office portfolio, including New York, Chicago, Austin, and other sites. You will own the operating model, manage budgets, ensure safety, compliance, and service consistency, while aligning with sustainability goals.

The role requires a hands-on leader with strong financial discipline, data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in facilities management or related fields.
• 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading multi-site office environments in a complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, safety/compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated success managing operating budgets and capital spend.
• Experience using data and analytics to drive decisions.
• Strong communication and influence with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities and workplace operations across the office portfolio.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and well-maintained workplaces with focus on life safety and continuity.
• Own facilities operating model: governance, service levels, reporting, accountability.
• Manage annual operating and capital budgets; forecasting and expense control.
• Review and track facilities spend; align with business priorities.
• Oversee maintenance, work orders, vendor performance, issue resolution.
• Partner with senior managers to deliver consistent workplace support.
• Use utilization and space data to inform portfolio decisions and resource allocation.
• Support hub-and-spoke strategy by optimizing footprint and utilization.
• Lead standardization across amenities, technology, and employee experience.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes.
• Advance sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency.
• Build reporting routines to track performance, risks, costs, and service quality.
• Lead, coach, and develop facilities team and partners.
• Support relocations, consolidations, openings, closures, and special projects.
