Job summary

L’Oréal USA North Little Rock plant is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead the Facilities Department, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient site operations, CAPEX governance, and coordination with vendors and authorities. You will drive energy management, environmental and safety programs, and GMP-aligned maintenance while developing teams and maintaining relationships across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical discipline; MBA desirable.
• Five to eight years’ experience in major facilities management, plant engineering, or industrial operations, including CAPEX management, contractor/vendor oversight, regulatory compliance, fire protection systems, and insurance/property audits with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage facilities engineering, site maintenance, and utility operations.
• Manage CAPEX responsibility for the site, preparing, analyzing, and justifying capital projects.
• Direct and supervise service contracts, RFPs, vendor oversight, and contractor permitting (e.g., Janitorial, HVAC, pest control, waste management).
• Lead site compliance for Insurance Audits, DGO Property Audits, and AXA Insurance Liability Audits.
• Direct and manage site-wide fire protection systems, life safety equipment testing, and coordination with local authorities (NLR Fire Marshal inspections).
• Own and drive site ISO 50001 energy management and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage environmental and safety compliance programs.
• Supervise all subordinate personnel and maintain an effective employee/labor relations environment.

What You Will Do

Direct and manage all activities of the Facilities Department to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of site infrastructure, capital expenditure projects, comprehensive vendor management, and rigorous compliance with insurance, environmental, and fire protection regulations.

Required Qualifications

General Job Duties

• Direct and manage facilities engineering, site maintenance, and utility operations
• Manage CAPEX responsibility for the site, preparing, analyzing, and justifying applicable capital projects
• Direct and supervise efficient, cost-effective service contracts, RFPs, vendor oversight, and contractor permitting (e.g., Janitorial, HVAC, pest control, waste management)
• Lead site compliance for Insurance Audits, DGO Property Audits, and AXA Insurance Liability Audits
• Direct and manage site-wide fire protection systems, life safety equipment testing, and coordination with local authorities, including NLR Fire Marshal inspections
• Own and drive site ISO 50001 energy management and sustainability initiatives
• Manage environmental and safety compliance programs (e.g., LEL/oxygen sensors, fume hoods, pressure vessels, backflow preventers, stormwater/wastewater piping, and electrical thermography)
• Supervise all subordinate personnel and maintain an effective employee/labor relations environment
• Manage in conformance with "Good Manufacturing Practices" (GMP) and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Manage and implement all L'Oréal USA policies, including, but not limited to, the Corporation’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy
