Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks a Director of Facilities to lead the hospital environment and related resources, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and objectives. The role covers the hospital’s physical plant, outpatient care facilities, IT/Data Center, and warehouse operations within a 3-mile radius of the main campus.

The director serves as Hospital Safety Officer, coordinating regulatory compliance matters and driving action on corrective issues.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of leadership/supervisory experience in Facilities.
• Associates (Required)
• Can be certified as CHFM or PE in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Ensures that facilities are continuously in compliance with all regulatory bodies making corrective actions where appropriate.
• Manages and evaluates departmental operations, including, service level determination and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.

Summary

Directs the Facility department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. This role is responsible for the physical plant of a 301 licensed bed acute care hospital (approximately 190,000 square feet), and the Memorial System's Outpatient 24/7 Care Center, the IT/Data Center and the Warehouse which are situated 3 miles from the hospital. The director also serves as Hospital Safety Officer and is key leader coordinating regulatory compliance matters as they pertain to the Hospital Environment of Care.

Responsibilities
