Micron Technology is seeking a Director of Facilities Construction- Progressive Build to lead a team responsible for new construction across high-tech fabs. The role oversees project management, budgets, and strategic site improvements in Boise and beyond.

The ideal candidate brings a BS in Construction Management, 15+ years of experience, and a proven track record leading large-scale projects with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 15+ years of construction engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing teams on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety training and enforce safety policies on site.
• Review job hazard analyses and ensure PPE and chemical safety.
• Participate in EHS program, report concerns, and perform audits.
• Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies with safety/legal teams.
• Manage construction projects, oversee budgets, and drive long-term improvements.
• Maintain communication with the organization and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Lead performance management and professional development to foster innovation.
• Set long-term strategic goals and plan for critical positions.

The US Construction Engineering department is responsible for the design and construction efforts for high-tech, large-scale projects for Micron in the US. Current high-profile projects include the design and construction of two high-volume manufacturing fabs in Boise, ID1 and ID2, and a third fab in Clay, New York.

As the Director, Facilities Construction- Progressive Build at Micron, you will be responsible for managing a team that supports all areas of building new construction.

Job Responsibilities

• Finishes the required safety training and adheres to safety policies, stopping work if unsafe conditions are identified.
• Reviews job hazard analysis and follows safety and environmental procedures, including PPE and chemical safety.
• Actively participates in the EHS program, reports concerns immediately, and performs audits.
• Ensures compliance with external regulations and internal policies, coordinating with safety and legal teams.
• Manages construction projects, oversees budgets, and develops long-term improvement strategies.
• Maintains communication with the organization and partners with various teams on critical projects.
• Conducts performance management and professional development, fostering a positive and innovative culture.
• Establishes and communicates long-term strategic goals, ensuring succession planning for critical positions.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Construction Management or relevant field
• 15 years of overall construction engineering experience
• 5+ years’ experience managing teams and working on large scale projects

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification
• 7 years of experience in leadership role
• Semiconductor industry experience
• Experience or interest in adoption of agentic AI into work processes
