Job summary

Terumo Neuro is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead our multi-building medical device campus, including R&D laboratories, cleanroom manufacturing, and corporate offices. You will set a technology-enabled facilities vision with AI, predictive maintenance, and smart-building strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

You will drive long-range master plans, oversee capital projects, and manage budgets while aligning with EHS, risk, and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management or leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in the medical device or other highly regulated industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Direct and lead all facilities operations for a complex, multi-building medical device campus supporting R&D laboratories, cleanroom manufacturing, and corporate office functions. Responsible for establishing a strategic, technology-enabled facilities vision incorporating AI, predictive maintenance, and smart-building technologies to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, security and sustainability. Job duties:

• Develop long-term master facility plans, including expansion and space optimization.
• Lead capital projects, construction, and laboratory and cleanroom buildouts.
• Implement AI-driven predictive maintenance programs (CMMS, IoT).
• Optimize building management systems and smart building technologies.
• Manage budgets, cost controls, and financial performance.
• Oversee vendor contracts and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building and fire codes, as well as OSHA, EHS, and regulatory requirements and best practices for associate and facility security.
• Partner with EHS on safety, emergency preparedness, and sustainability relative to waste minimization, recycling, solar infrastructure, and water use.
• Lead ISO 5000-aligned initiatives.
• Partner with Enterprise Risk Management on business continuity and risk mitigation for critical systems.
• Coordinate space planning and workplace strategy.
• Ensure high-quality facility service delivery.
• Develop data-driven business cases and dashboards.
• Establish asset reliability and spares strategies.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2. Minimum twelve (12) years of relevant professional experience.
3. Minimum five (5) years of management or leadership responsibility.
4. Strong knowledge of building systems, construction, and regulatory compliance.
5. Experience in the medical device or other highly regulated industry.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Desired Qualifications

1. Experience with AI-enabled facilities systems, predictive maintenance, ISO 50001, sustainability programs, and advanced analytics platforms.

3. Moderate lifting, up to 50 lbs.
4. May be required within the position to be in an environment that can include radiation exposure (such as in Cathlabs).
