Job summary

Terumo Neuro in Aliso Viejo, CA is seeking a hands-on prototype technician to build complex prototypes from verbal instructions or simple drawings, conduct tests, and document results. You will fabricate prototypes, set up tests, analyze data, and support development and manufacturing processes while following safety and quality guidelines.

Strong English, good communication, CAD familiarity (SolidWorks), and comfort with lab environments are preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Build complex prototypes from verbal instructions and/or simple drawings and perform testing and documentation duties with moderate supervision.

Job duties
  • Fabricate complex prototypes, manufacturing processes, and fixtures.
  • Set up and conduct tests of completed units or components under operational conditions to investigate designs or to obtain data for development and standardization.
  • Record and analyze test procedures and results, numerical, and graphical data.
  • Support production or process development as required.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes.
  • Provide input into product design, processes, and testing.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range:

$29.21/Hour - $38.34/Hour (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, biz needs and market demand)

  • Gowning may be required in controlled environments. Personal Protective Equipment use, including safety glasses and gloves, required for certain tasks and areas.
  • May work with machinery and chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • For certain tasks or areas, the ability to perform repetitive tasks under magnification or microscope for extended periods of time required.
  • May be required within the position to be in an environment that can include radiation exposure (such as in Cathlabs).
