Job summary

Terumo Neuro in California is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to perform general upkeep, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, grounds work, and furniture movements.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years of facilities experience, a valid CA driver license, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while following safety and compliance protocols. You will coordinate with contractors and maintain preventive maintenance logs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and follow proper compliance and systems requirements.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, simple repairs and maintenance on facility equipment, controls, and systems, including water, fire/life safety, and security systems.
• Guide contractors and service providers who perform more complex repairs and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Utilize standard and portable power tools.
• Perform general repairs and work order requests.
• Assist in movement of office furniture, materials, and equipment as required.
• Paint interior offices as needed.
• Maintain preventive maintenance logs.
• Dispose of waste chemicals and materials following approved safety processes and procedures.
• May act as the project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and new facility construction projects.

Job description

(Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)

Perform general maintenance and repair duties, including light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and arranging furniture and partitions.

What You'll be Doing

Required Qualifications

• Mechanical/electrical aptitude with problem solving skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• General knowledge of plumbing.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Must be organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

What Will Differentiate You from the Crowd

• Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience related to project management, vendor management, facilities and/or maintenance.
• Some knowledge of phone systems is a plus.
