Zip is seeking a Director of External Communications to shape a clear, credible story about Zip, its products, and customers. This senior, US-led role reports to the Chief Customer & Marketing Officer and requires moving between boardroom and newsroom environments.

You will own corporate, consumer, executive, and issues communications to strengthen Zip’s reputation. You will partner with Investor Relations, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Product, Growth, and regional leaders to ensure consistent

Qualifikationen

• 15+ years of experience in corporate/external communications or public affairs, including senior public-company exposure.
• Experience in fintech/payments/financial services or other regulated industries.
• Strong executive counsel, writing, editing, and message-development skills.
• Proven track record building corporate and consumer narratives with media relationships.
• Experience supporting IPOs or major capital-markets events; US/Australian exposure helpful.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage agencies.
• Ability to set strategy and build processes while staying close to execution.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Aufgaben

• Build comprehensive external communications strategy that aligns with Zip’s priorities and product roadmap.
• Lead Zip’s external communications function across corporate, consumer, executive, and issues comms.
• Partner with Investor Relations, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Product, Growth, People, and regional leads.
• Prepare executives for high-visibility interviews, speaking engagements, and major announcements.
• Develop briefing materials, talking points, speeches, opinion pieces, social content, and other executive communications.
