Job summary

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a public, open access institution serving Central Virginia. This full-time exempt role leads experiential learning, CPL, and work-based learning initiatives across PVCC, advancing credits and career-connected experiences for students.

The Director reports to Academic Affairs and Workforce Development and collaborates with employer partners to expand CPL pathways and college-wide experiential learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or higher education administration.
• Minimum three years of relevant higher education or workforce development experience.
• Direct experience with CPL/prior-learning assessment and policy.
• Experience building partnerships with employers and industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop CPL and WBL programs and policies across PVCC.
• Coordinate with Career Services to align pathways with labor data.
• Lead curriculum-to-credentials mapping and guided pathways.
• Manage compliance, reporting, and grant deliverables.
