The Center for Executive Education at Temple University's Fox School of Business develops and delivers programs designed to support the professional development needs of corporations, not-for-profits, organizations, and university clients. Working with faculty and subject matter experts, the Center offers both open enrollment programs, as well as customized programming to meet the learning and development needs of the business community. The Director of Executive Education, Business Development, and Industry Relations carries an explicit annual revenue target, established annually with the Dean's Office - through the development and growth of non-credit executive education programs - custom corporate offerings, open enrollment, and professional development cohorts. The Director will be responsible for identifying prospective clients and partnerships and driving sales for the Center. The Director serves as the Center's senior administrative and operational leader, directing its day-to-day business operations in partnership with the Managing Director, who provides faculty and academic leadership for the Center's programming. The Director develops and manages the Center's annual operating budget; allocates financial resources across programs, staffing, marketing, and business development activities; establishes the Center's operational policies and procedures, including pricing approvals, contracting, invoicing, and client-service standards; and supervises Center staff, including the Assistant Director of Programs, part-time and student staff, and contracted program facilitators. The role calls for a founder's mindset: personally driving revenue while leading and growing the Center's business development and program delivery functions. The Director also cultivates and stewards executive-level relationships across the Greater Philadelphia business ecosystem, representing Fox externally to corporate partners and prospects and internally to the central TU administration. This includes coordinating a portfolio of schoolwide engagements housed and led in other units of the school as well as centrally. These span talent pipelines, executive engagement, sponsored research, and philanthropic giving. The Director also actively builds the brand and visibility of the Fox School's graduate and master's degree programs within the corporate community - ensuring that Fox's various corporate touch points operate as a coherent strategy rather than isolated efforts. Finally, this person will launch signature engagement programming - such as Deans' Breakfasts, executive roundtables, and thought-leadership forums on emerging themes including artificial intelligence - that position Fox as a trusted partner to local industry and organizations such as Chamber of Commerce and Philly100.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote) - the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
