Job summary

Encore Global Richmond seeks a Director, Event Technology to drive revenue and profitability for the location, delivering World-Class service and cultivating key venue relationships. The role leads a small team, manages event technology operations, and reports to the Area Director or Regional VP.

You will oversee scheduling, equipment setup/strike, and on-site troubleshooting, while optimizing labor and costs to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of audio-visual experience.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer hardware and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels and ensure outstanding service.
• Oversee daily venue operations, including scheduling, equipment setup, operation and strike.
• Provide on-site AV technical support as needed and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Manage labor, equipment sub-rentals and other costs to support profitability.
• Prepare quotes and proposals and participate in venue meetings as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to service events and maximize client satisfaction.
