Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison's Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene, Environmental Health Division, invites applications for a Laboratory Director (C). This leadership role oversees the Environmental Chemistry and Environmental Biology programs, QA, and budgets, ensuring high-quality, compliant laboratory services across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience supervising a high-complexity environmental laboratory.
• 1 year supervising at a management level.

Responsibilities

• Directs overall operations and administration of the Environmental Health Division.
• Oversees Environmental Chemistry and Biology programs, QA, and budgeting.
• Provides supervisory authority over laboratory program/unit directors.
• Develops and monitors laboratory resources and budgets.
• Leads teaching, training, and outreach activities.
• Plans staff implementation of protocols and ongoing quality review.
• Leads overall EHD operations and coordination with agencies.
