Job summary

Nelson Connects seeks a Director of Information Systems to lead enterprise applications, data, analytics, and reporting platforms. You will own ERP, data governance, reporting, and analytics with a focus on stability and scalability to support business processes and decision-making.

The role partners with the Director of Information Technology to ensure seamless integration across business systems and the broader tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years directly leading IT teams & initiatives.
• Experience in the alcohol beverage industry preferred.
• Experience with VIP & Circana data strongly desired.
• Expert in Excel for data management, reporting, and analysis.
• Experience with relational databases a plus.
• Proven track record with ERP implementations (Dynamics 365).
• Deep knowledge of Power BI development including DAX.
• Strong background in data governance and compliance.
• Hands-on experience driving AI technologies toward automation and efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience managing IT budgets and evaluating cost centers.
• Skilled in contract negotiations and vendor management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Superior organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, teamwork, and maturity under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of enterprise application initiatives across ERP, reporting, and planning platforms.
• Manage system administration, configuration, integration support, data migration, and user adoption activities.
• Support change management to ensure successful adoption of enterprise applications.
• Guide teams in the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and operational reports.
• Ensure data standards and visualization guidelines are followed; coordinate with data owners and analysts.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies across applications and analytics platforms.
• Identify data risks, gaps, or compliance concerns and escalate with corrective actions.
• Drive implementation and operationalization of approved AI tools and platforms.
• Mentor IT staff, promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support IT budget management through cost tracking and forecasting; assist in vendor management for ERP, reporting, and analytics.
