Job summary

AMETEK Rauland in Mount Prospect, IL seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple enterprise software teams delivering regulated healthcare solutions. You will drive technical strategy, ensure secure, scalable software, and partner with Quality, V&V, Cybersecurity, and Product Management to align strategy with execution.

Reporting to the DVP of Engineering, you will mentor engineering leaders, champion DevOps maturity, and coordinate across enterprise, server‑side, and platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering (or equivalent) and 12+ years of enterprise software experience.
• Experience delivering regulated healthcare software products.
• Strong knowledge of Quality System Regulations (QSR) and collaboration with Quality and V&V teams.
• Experience with Agile and Lean product development, test automation, and DevOps/CI/CD.
• Proven ability to manage multiple software initiatives with timely delivery and budget awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong people and technical leadership for multiple software engineering teams, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative culture and removing barriers.
• Lead the planning, prioritization, and delivery of complex, regulated healthcare software initiatives with predictable releases.
• Own architectural execution aligned to system‑level direction and product roadmaps for scalable enterprise solutions.
• Partner across Product Management, Systems Engineering, V&V, Cybersecurity, Quality, and PMO to ensure planning and compliance.
• Drive release excellence and DevOps maturity, including deployment readiness and upgrade paths.
