Position Summary
Healthrise is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Enterprise Revenue Cycle Analytics to lead the design, implementation, and long-term success of an enterprise analytics function supporting both Hospital and Professional Billing operations. This individual will be responsible for building and leading a centralized analytics team, developing scalable infrastructure, and driving adoption of actionable, high-impact reporting and dashboards. In addition to driving the analytics roadmap, this leader will stand up governance frameworks, standardize KPIs, and ensure consistent, trusted data is delivered across the organization.
This is a unique opportunity to build a modern analytics program from the ground up in partnership with executive stakeholders, technology teams, and revenue cycle leadership.
Duties And Responsibilities
Analytics Strategy & Delivery
- Define the vision and roadmap for enterprise revenue cycle analytics, with a focus on usability, actionability, and performance improvement
- Oversee the development of MVP dashboard suite including denials, AR aging, claims lag, DNFB, and more to drive quick wins within the first year
- Collaborate with finance, operations, IT, and clinical partners to align analytics priorities with strategic goals
- Lead requirements gathering, delivery planning, and iterative development cycles using agile principles
Team Leadership & Development
- Build and manage a high-performing team of analysts, BI developers, data engineers, and product managers
- Mentor staff and create career development plans aligned with evolving organizational needs
- Establish team processes, performance expectations, and reporting standards
Data Governance & Standards
- Launch and manage a data governance council with representation across key departments
- Standardize KPI definitions, naming conventions, and reporting methodologies for HB and PB metrics
- Implement and maintain a robust data dictionary, metadata policies, and documentation standards
- Oversee data quality monitoring and continuous improvement programs
Technical Oversight & Infrastructure
- Guide architectural decisions in partnership with IT and engineering teams
- Help evaluate and scale infrastructure, including BI tools, data pipelines, and semantic layers
Enablement & Change Management
- Lead user adoption efforts through documentation, training, and support
- Create feedback loops and enhancement pipelines informed by stakeholders and usage data
- Act as the voice of data-driven decision-making within the revenue cycle and beyond
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in analytics, data governance, or business intelligence, preferably within healthcare or revenue cycle
- 3+ years in a formal leadership role managing analytics teams or cross-functional programs
- Strong knowledge of hospital and professional billing workflows, KPIs, and revenue cycle metrics
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise dashboards and building analytics functions from scratch
- Deep familiarity with Epic Clarity/Caboodle, data warehousing, and modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience implementing data governance, metadata management, and reporting standardization
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to influence across departments
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a large health system or multi-entity revenue cycle environment
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure) and tools like dbt, Fivetran
- Formal training in data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK)
