Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a Director of Procurement to lead enterprise procurement strategy, governance, and cost optimization across the organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, or related disciplines.
• Progressive experience within enterprise procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, or related procurement disciplines.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing procurement and category strategies that deliver measurable financial and business outcomes.
• Experience managing complex sourcing initiatives and negotiating significant commercial agreements with strategic suppliers.
• Demonstrated experience identifying, negotiating, tracking, and delivering cost savings, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, and other value-creation initiatives.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including business case development, commercial analysis, vendor evaluation, and partnership with Finance.
• Experience establishing and improving procurement governance, policies, processes, controls, and operating models.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and experience leveraging AI, automation, advanced analytics, or other emerging technologies to improve procurement effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise procurement strategy aligned with AMN Healthcare’s objectives.
• Build and manage an enterprise sourcing pipeline and cost optimization roadmap.
• Develop and execute category management strategies across major areas of third-party spend.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives including supplier evaluations, competitive events, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Partner with Finance to track, validate, and report procurement savings and value realization.
• Cultivate strategic supplier relationships to improve service quality and business outcomes.
• Drive supplier rationalization and demand management to reduce duplication and optimize spend.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align procurement priorities with business goals.
• Establish procurement governance, policies, controls, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee supplier performance management, contract compliance, and risk management.
