Sonic Healthcare USA, Inc. seeks an experienced Director of Platform Engineering to lead the design, delivery, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure across data centers, cloud, and hybrid environments.

This role steers platform reliability, disaster recovery, automation, and hosting strategy to support critical clinical and business operations nationwide. The leader will collaborate with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Applications, Data & Analytics, and Operations to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing infra and engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, data centers, virtualization, DR, and platform resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise platform engineering roadmap and infrastructure strategy.
• Lead design, management, and modernization of data centers, colocation facilities, cloud platforms, and hybrid environments.
• Oversee Windows, Linux, virtualization, compute, storage, backup, and platform engineering operations.
• Drive cloud adoption, automation, IaC, and platform standardization initiatives.
• Establish and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency for mission-critical systems.
• Partner with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, App Development, Data & Analytics, and Operations teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams and vendor relationships with multimillion-dollar budgets.
