Job summary

National Grid seeks a senior learning and development leader to own enterprise programs across New York and Massachusetts. The role drives leadership development, Instructor Excellence, and the Engineering Academy, delivering consistent, high-quality learning outcomes.

You will partner with senior leaders and internal teams to elevate instructional quality, governance, and workforce readiness, while guiding scalable, measurable impact across US operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, business, HR, psychology, leadership or related field required.
• Master's degree in Adult Learning, Adult Education, Learning and Development, Education, Organizational Leadership or closely related field strongly preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive experience in learning and development or talent development with leadership responsibility.
• Advanced study or practice in academia, executive education, or adult learning preferred.
• Professional certification in coaching, facilitation, leadership development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and governance for three flagship development programs across NY and MA.
• Sustain and advance Instructor Excellence and Engineering Academy programs; improve curriculum and delivery quality.
• Establish academic rigor, instructional standards, and quality assurance across programs.
• Build partnerships with colleges, universities, and external learning partners to expand reach.
• Identify leadership capability gaps with senior leaders and prioritize solutions.
• Oversee vendor-delivered and internal classroom experiences and blended learning at scale.
• Coach and mentor internal faculty; strengthen classroom practice and engagement.
• Establish governance, KPIs, and reporting on participation, outcomes, and business impact.
• Use data and stakeholder feedback to improve curricula and investments.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor performance for sustainable delivery.
• Represent US leadership development in enterprise forums and external partnerships.
• Champion inclusive, accessible learning and a culture of belonging.
