Job summary

Schwab is seeking a Director-level leader for Client Authentication, responsible for core authentication capabilities that secure client access across digital and phone channels. You will guide a team of product managers and owners, shaping strategy and execution in a regulated financial services environment.

You will balance security, scalability, and user experience while aligning with regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience in identity and access management, authentication, or related digital identity capabilities.
• Experience with customer identity and access management concepts and technologies.
• Experience leading teams that built authentication/CIAM capabilities, not just integrating tools.
• Proven ability to align cross-enterprise initiatives across business, technology, risk, fraud and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed product team delivering enterprise Client Authentication capabilities.
• Own and communicate roadmap for core authentication capabilities across SAFE portfolio.
• Set product direction for authentication and authorization across client touchpoints.
• Provide thought leadership on identity trends including phishing-resistant authentication and biometrics.
• Translate complex topics into clear business recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Coach and develop product managers and owners to build a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with multiple functions to prioritize and execute digital identity initiatives.
• Use data to monitor performance, assess risk, and improve client identity lifecycle.
