Job summary

Blue Shield of California seeks a Stellarus CIO-level leader to oversee corporate technology strategy, engineering, and operations for a critical partnership. You will guide multiple engineering teams, drive modernization, and ensure secure, scalable technology services that align with business goals.

You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security and Infrastructure leadership to improve execution, manage risk, and deliver measurable business outcomes while building high-performing teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience
• 10 years of software engineering, technology operations and management experience
• 6 years of people management experience leading engineering teams
• Experience owning production systems end-to-end and improving reliability
• Experience modernizing legacy systems in production environments
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and secure development
• Proven ability to partner with Product, Architecture, Security and Business leaders

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership across engineering delivery, platform operations and technology services
• Lead engineering managers and technology leaders responsible for solution delivery and service performance
• Ensure technology solutions are delivered with speed, quality, security and operational excellence
• Guide architecture, delivery, production stability and issue resolution
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture and Security teams to improve execution and reliability
