Job summary

UMGC is seeking a Director of Enterprise Architecture to lead the university's architecture across business, data, applications, technology, security, and integration domains. This hybrid role requires on-site presence in Adelphi, MD, with strategic responsibility for standards, roadmaps, and best-practice governance to enable digital transformations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related tech leadership roles.
• 5+ years of management experience leading architects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture strategies, current/future-state architectures, and roadmaps.
• Establish and govern enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and review processes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and enterprise platforms for strategic fit.
• Provide architectural oversight for technology initiatives and ensure alignment with standards.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership for incident response and cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with business, cybersecurity, and solution teams to guide technology decisions.
• Assist in developing and refining UMGC technology policies.
