Job summary

Metric, a leading manufacturer, seeks a Director of Enterprise Applications to define and deliver an applications strategy aligned to business goals. You will oversee a portfolio of critical enterprise platforms, ensure security, resilience, and scalability, and lead a talented team to drive modernization.

You will own the roadmap, work with senior stakeholders, drive integration, cloud adoption, and automation, and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in managing IT/ERP/Application teams.
• Experience working in a multi-site manufacturing environment.

Metric are currently partnered with a large and growing manufacturer, looking for a Director - Enterprise Applications.

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced technology leader who understands that great enterprise technology is about more than systems — it’s about enabling people, improving processes and delivering better outcomes for the organisation and its customers.

As Director of Enterprise Applications, you will define and deliver a clear, forward-looking applications strategy aligned to our wider business and technology objectives. You’ll oversee a portfolio of critical enterprise platforms and lead a talented team responsible for ensuring our applications are secure, resilient, integrated, scalable and fit for the future.

You’ll play a key role in shaping our technology roadmap, identifying opportunities to simplify and modernise our estate, and ensuring investment is focused where it can deliver the greatest business value.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll provide strategic leadership across the full enterprise applications lifecycle, from architecture and implementation through to service management, optimisation and retirement. You’ll work closely with senior business stakeholders to understand their priorities and translate them into practical, innovative technology solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:
