Job summary

Jobot in Wichita Falls, TX seeks a Director of Engineering and Controls to lead its Systems Integration Group. This senior technical and leadership role directs engineering, panel building, and control systems activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant solutions delivered to a high standard of excellence.

The Director will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive design standards, and collaborate with operations, project management, and field services to deliver high-quality systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical discipline (Master's preferred).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in engineering and controls, with systems integration experience.
• Proven leadership in managing department-level P&Ls of $40M+ with EBITDA, margin, and revenue oversight.
• Strong leadership and people development experience.
• Solid knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, networks, and automation.
• Experience with low-voltage electrical power systems in industrial or commercial settings.
• Ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead department P&L of ~ $50M, tracking financials, percent complete, and project execution.
• Provide strategic leadership for engineering and controls within the group.
• Establish standards, best practices, and design methodologies across projects.
• Develop and mentor high-performing engineering teams and succession plans.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality engineering deliverables; drive continuous improvement.
• Support business development with technical input, scoping, estimates, and proposals.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and build trusted relationships.
