As the Director of Engineering – Ad Serving, you’ll help shape Best Buy’s Retail Media Network (RMN) platform. This is a unique opportunity to bring your leadership and engineering skills to the fast-evolving world of ad tech. You’ll lead the development of ad serving systems, build and coach a high-performing full stack team, and fill key talent gaps as needed. You’ll collaborate with business, product, and technology partners to define and deliver a scalable, cloud-native RMN foundation. This role demands effective leadership, strong attention to detail and ease with ambiguity.

This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.

Basic qualifications

• 8 years of experience developing ad tech software
• 8 years of experience with high quality, always on, cloud ready, highly scalable and resilient systems for ad tech such as ad serving
• 6 years of increasing responsibility leading teams

Preferred qualifications

• Experience leading the development of ad serving and optimization systems at scale at a DSP or SSP
• Ability to guide teams from project delivery to agile practices and then transform to a product led operating model
• Ability to assess skills needed on the team and address them through hiring and training
• Ability to enable collaboration between engineers, product managers, decision scientists and leaders
• Excellent communication skills when working with a distributed team
• Ability to and delegate work and encourage growth for your team
