Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking a Director of Employee Relations to lead complex investigations and enterprise ER operations. You will manage a team of ER and LOA professionals, set governance standards, and partner with Legal, HR, and Compliance to drive defensible outcomes.

The role requires deep ER expertise, strategic judgment, and the ability to balance risk with business needs in a hybrid work environment based in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive employee relations experience with 3+ years of management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; in lieu of a degree, an additional two years of relevant experience beyond the qualifications listed above may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the Employee Relations and LOA functions and handle complex, high‑risk ER matters.
• Manage escalation, triage, prioritization, assignment, and execution of investigations across misconduct, performance, ADA/LOA issues.
• Lead ER governance, policy updates, and risk mitigation with cross‑functional partners.
• Coach and develop the ER team, set expectations, and drive process improvements.
