Job summary

Comcast is seeking an experienced Senior Employee Relations Lead to guide policy development and ensure compliance with employment laws. This role partners with senior leadership to enhance employee engagement and resolve complex workplace issues.

You will oversee policy updates, investigations into discrimination and harassment, develop ER strategies, and design training on grievance processes. Strong judgment and ability to work nights/weekends as needed are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in employee relations and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee updating and refinement of HR policies per legislation and internal changes.
• Lead internal investigations into discrimination, harassment, and disputes.
• Develop and implement Employee Relations strategies, policies, and programs to support organizational objectives.
• Design training materials on workplace expectations and the grievance process.
• Model respectful behavior and apply HR policies consistently.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII.
• Conduct counseling on EEO, ADA, performance issues, and terminations.
• Execute employee engagement initiatives like focus groups and surveys.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to act on employee feedback and implement action plans.
• Exercise independent judgment in matters of significance.
• Attend work regularly; nights/weekends as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

The role strategically partners with senior leadership to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the update and refinement of Human Resources policies in accordance with evolving legislation and internal changes


• Leading the oversight of internal investigations into discrimination, harassment, and employee disputes, ensuring fair resolution


• Directing the development and implementation of Employee Relations strategies, policies, and programs to support organizational objectives


• Designing training and communication materials to educate staff on workplace expectations and the grievance process


• Championing a respectful work environment by modeling desired behaviors and consistently applying HR policies


• Managing compliance with employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII, through thorough investigations and resolutions


• Facilitating sensitive counseling sessions on EEO, ADA, performance issues, and terminations, providing expert guidance


• Conducting employee engagement initiatives, such as focus groups and surveys, to gather feedback and drive satisfaction


• Collaborating with senior leadership to develop and implement action plans based on employee feedback, enhancing workplace relations


• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance


• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance


• Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

Illinois Pay Range: $138,157.50 - $207,236.26

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
