Job summary

LifeStance Health seeks a Director of Emerging Therapeutics to evaluate and responsibly scale new treatment modalities. You will partner across departments to ensure safe, evidence-based adoption and measure outcomes in a large behavioral health enterprise.

The role requires 7+ years of leadership in healthcare innovation and a strong background in digital therapeutics, AI-enabled tools, and regulatory considerations. Collaboration and patient safety are foundational to success.

Qualifications

• Master's, doctoral, medical degree or equivalent in behavioral health or related field.
• 7+ years of leadership in behavioral healthcare or related settings.
• Experience with digital therapeutics and FDA-cleared PDTs.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise roadmap for emerging therapeutic approaches across pharmacotherapies, neuromodulation, digital therapeutics, and AI-enabled tools.
• Evaluate and govern emerging therapies for safety, regulatory, clinical fit, and feasibility.
• Lead clinical integration planning with technology, data, operations, and medical leadership teams.
• Collaborate with growth and enterprise teams to integrate new capabilities into workflows and care models.
• Develop clinical protocols, workflows, and adoption supports for safe implementation.
• Monitor regulatory, clinical, scientific, and market trends to inform operations and strategy.
• Establish governance criteria for risk, privacy, ethics, training, and readiness before implementation.
• Serve as SME and strategic advisor on emerging therapeutic trends and vendor capabilities.
• Partner with clinical leaders on data collection, outcomes, and safety monitoring.
• Assist in using AI tools and EHR optimization to improve care delivery and outcomes.
• Foster clinical research and partnerships with academic and industry players.
