Job summary

Johnson County Government’s Johnson County Mental Health Center is seeking a Deputy Division Director for the Emergency Service Division. This role leads program development across 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline, Open Access and related teams to ensure high-quality clinical services in Johnson County.

Required are a Master’s in a relevant field and Kansas licensure; six years clinical mental health experience, plus three years in leadership, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant human services field and KS licensure at the clinical level.
• Six years of clinical mental health experience in the focus area.
• Three years of experience leading or coordinating teams; two years in community mental health.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and develop administrative and programmatic solutions for recurring problems with emphasis on high-quality clinical services.
• Provide oversight and consultation on fidelity to evidence-based practices; supervise staff and ensure performance standards.
• Improve performance outcomes by redesigning tasks, procedures and processes; monitor data and outcomes.
• Assist with hiring, training, and retention; plan staffing to meet consumer needs; conduct team meetings and resolve conflicts.
• Support crisis intervention and consultation; participate in quality review processes for appropriate interventions.
