Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC in the United States is seeking a Director Electrical BOP Engineering, Operations to lead a high‑voltage BOP team across renewable assets. You’ll drive engineering vision, develop long‑term fleet reliability plans, and ensure compliance with NERC/FERC standards.

You will shape multi‑year investment, manage critical asset protection, and guide cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, Asset Management, and Compliance to optimize performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• 11+ years in electrical operations, asset management, or design with 3+ years leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Define engineering vision and goals across the fleet.
• Shape multiyear investment plans for upgrades and compliance.
• Oversee NERC/FERC audit readiness and documentation.
• Lead talent development and hiring for the Electrical BOP function.
• Represent engineering to executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Evaluate adoption of new engineering tools and testing technologies.
• Lead RCAs and major fault recovery for critical assets.
• Manage relationships with OEMs and consultants, establish standards.
