Job summary

Delta State University is seeking a Program Director for the Delta Educational Opportunity Center (DEOC) to lead day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with university and federal guidelines. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Education Leadership, Counseling Education, Community Development or Social Work.
• 3–5 years of experience with disadvantaged populations in an educational setting.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Knowledge of higher education, financial aid, GED and ACT testing, and admissions.
• Understanding of issues affecting learning potential in low-income, first-generation students.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Delta Educational Opportunity Center (DEOC).
• Report to the Executive Director of Sponsored Programs and Special Projects.
• Monitor all DEOC activities to ensure compliance with university and federal policies.
• Manage tasks outlined in the Plan of Operation.

Education

Master's degree in Education / Education Leadership / Counseling Education / Community Development or Social Work or related field
