Job summary

Calamp Wireless Networks Corporation in Carlsbad, CA, seeks a Director of Edge Devices Product Management to own strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for connected hardware and software solutions across fleets and industrial OEMs.

You will translate field needs into differentiated hardware capabilities, balance performance and cost, and partner with engineering, supply chain, and sales to bring reliable, scalable telematics products to market.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience including hardware/IoT
• 5+ years of people leadership experience
• Experience launching hardware products in B2B or connected-device models
• Strong technical fluency in embedded systems, firmware, telemetry, and HW trade-offs
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year hardware product vision, strategy, and roadmap for fleet telematics devices, gateways, sensors, and edge platforms
• Translate use cases into hardware/firmware requirements covering data acquisition, connectivity, sensors, power, and OTA updates
• Partner with engineering to define scalable architectures for gateways, asset tracking, and OEM programs
• Lead cross-functional execution from concept through launch and lifecycle management
• Define and monitor product success metrics including activation, reliability, and margin goals
