Job summary

The Clinical Research Scientist will join Lilly's Cardiometabolic Research program to lead early-phase global trials, primarily Phase I/II, focused on women’s health assets. You will design, execute, and report studies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include overseeing Phase Ib/IIa/IIb protocols, safety reporting, and regulatory support, with engagement in biomarker, PK work, and external scientific communications. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Development Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology or Neuroscience required.
• 5+ years of clinical development experience.
• Knowledge of drug development processes and regulatory pathways.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on clinical strategy and oversee Phase Ib/IIa/IIb trials.
• Review protocols, manage safety reporting and regulatory activities.
• Engage discovery teams on preclinical work, biomarkers and PK.
• Support external communications, publications and congress activities.
