Job summary

Upstate Caring Partners seeks a Director of Early Childhood Services to supervise daily operations, ensure NYS ED and OCFS compliance, and coordinate cross‑agency programs supporting preschool and daycare services.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in Education or Special Education with NYSED certification, have experience in an educational setting, strong leadership, and a valid NYS driver’s license; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education or Special Education; NYSED certification or enrollment in graduate program.
• Experience in an educational/preschool setting preferred.
• Must have intermediate computer skills and a valid NYS driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily program operations including budget monitoring, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, orientation, staff meetings and evaluations for the 4410 preschool and day care programs.
• Coordinate existing services, develop new programs and coordinate expansion to support agency goals.
• Oversee timely completion of records and reports to ensure compliance with program and state/federal requirements.
• Collaborate with agency programs and inter-disciplinary teams to ensure delivery of quality services.
• Coordinate with state/federal entities and community providers to meet program needs.
• Ensure fiscal responsibility in program operations.
• Support ongoing staff training and professional development and maintain certifications.
• Participate in Education Division activities and Preschool Program leadership and meetings.
• Handle additional responsibilities as directed by the VP of Education.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and operating standards.
