Job summary

Medifast is seeking a Director, Distribution Operations to lead strategy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of its distribution network, including company-operated and 3PL facilities. The role reports to the EVP, Supply Chain Operations and supervises a multi-site network.

You will drive safety, quality, service, and financial performance while partnering with cross-functional leaders to deliver a seamless customer experience and support long-term business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership in distribution and logistics.
• Experience leading large-scale distribution networks.
• Expertise in direct-to-consumer fulfillment and inventory management.
• Experience designing scalable supply-chain networks.
• Strong financial management of large budgets and capital investments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the distribution network strategy.
• Lead all distribution operations across facilities.
• Optimize network design and inventory flows.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, and partners.
• Own distribution-related financial performance and budgeting.
• Build and lead a high-performing, accountable team.
• Align supply-chain ops with broader business priorities.
• Lead contract negotiations and vendor management.
• Ensure regulatory, food safety, and governance compliance.
• Define and monitor KPIs for executive leadership.
• Drive strategic initiatives including system enhancements.
• Partner with IT on tech solutions for efficiency.
• Provide governance for distribution projects.
• Guide Facilities and Capital Projects teams on safety and delivery.
