Overview

Are you ready to lead and innovate in a dynamic distribution environment?

Our client is seeking a visionary leader to oversee and enhance the operations of their Distribution Center. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all processes are efficient, safe, and aligned with company and legal standards. You'll be at the forefront of directing a motivated team, managing inventory and equipment, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Distribution Center.
• Lead, coach, and develop the team to foster a proactive and motivated workforce.
• Implement and monitor safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
• Set goals and objectives, manage team performance, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Review production reports and manage production issues, liaising with managers and senior leadership.
• Safeguard company assets with robust security measures.
• Manage expenses and payroll, keeping them aligned with the budget.
• Negotiate and administer labor contracts.
• Encourage team development through performance assessments and skill development activities.

Qualifications

• Proven management and leadership skills with at least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced distribution or fulfillment operation.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and knowledge of AS/400.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, P&L, and financial reporting is advantageous.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

Base pay range: $135,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr

Location: Newark, CA
