Job summary

Bunker Hill Community College is seeking a Director of Disability Support Services to lead and manage the verification process for accommodations, ensuring access, inclusion and equity for BHCC students.

The Director provides leadership for the development and provision of appropriate support services and ensures compliance with ADA, Section 504, and related disability laws. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Special Education, Counseling, Disabilities Studies, Psychology).
• Five years of experience in disabilities support with higher ed or similar settings.
• Ability to interpret neuropsychological testing for accommodations (not conducting tests).
• Operational management of disability services in an educational setting.
• Experience advising, counseling, or coaching students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of ADA and Section 504 compliance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the verification process for accommodations.
• Lead development of disability services and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve as liaison between disability services and faculty/advisors.
• Oversee staff, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Promote universal design and assistive technology initiatives.
