Job summary

Archer is seeking a Director, Strategic Digital Technology to partner with the Chief Digital Officer and lead the Digital Technology Office in Silicon Valley. You will translate executive priorities into strategy, roadmaps, budgets, and governance across multiple functions.

You'll drive AI adoption, data-driven decision making, and executive communications, ensuring timely delivery and strategic impact in a fast, regulated aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Chief Digital Officer to turn digital strategy into a multi-year roadmap, an annual operating plan, and quarterly OKRs with owners and milestones.
• Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles, including budget, headcount, and investment prioritization, in close coordination with Finance and People.
• Frame decisions for the Chief Digital Officer with clear options, trade-offs, and data-backed recommendations.
• Own the cadence of leadership meetings, business reviews, steering forums, and decision logs for the Digital Technology Office; ensure follow-through on decisions.
• Build scorecards and executive dashboards covering delivery, spend, risk, and organizational health; turn them into actionable insights.
• Establish lightweight governance that preserves speed while meeting aerospace regulatory demands.
• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives spanning engineering, manufacturing, operations, finance, legal, security, and people teams.
• Collaborate with the Digital Technology program management team to align portfolio priorities with enterprise goals.
• Support major platform, vendor, and integration decisions as they arise.
• Help lead company-wide adoption of AI tools and workflows, including training, change management, and measurement of business impact.
• Track emerging technologies, vendors, and market trends to guide Archer on where to lead.
• Prepare briefings and board-level materials for the Chief.
