Job summary
Merck & Co. in Rahway, NJ, seeks a Director, Digital Plant Lead to shape digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities across Research Laboratories.
You will drive MES and ERP design, ensure data harmonization, and align cross-site implementations with IT and business stakeholders. Qualifications
- 8+ years in digital manufacturing support, plant automation or related field.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing or supply chain experience preferred.
- Translate complex requirements into actionable specs for system design and implementation.
- Experience supporting enterprise systems like MES, ERP or similar.
Responsibilities
- Translate business process needs into system requirements for digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities (MES/ERP).
- Provide virtual plant design across enterprise systems.
- Align enterprise system implementation across sites and divisions for interoperability.
- Drive business process harmonization across the Research Laboratories network.
- Define and track KPIs to monitor system adoption and value realization.
- Work with system architects to ensure scalable, secure enterprise solutions.
- Document requirements and support training for rollout of new systems.
