Job summary

Merck is seeking a Director, Digital Plant Lead to define business requirements for digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities across DSCS, collaborating with site leaders and IT to enable interoperable MES and ERP systems.

You will translate processes into system requirements, drive cross-site alignment, monitor performance with KPIs, and help design scalable architectures and enablement plans for enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Translate business needs into system requirements and specifications for digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities.
• Experience with MES and ERP implementations in pharmaceutical environments is preferred.
• Ability to gather complex requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into actionable specs.

Responsibilities

• Translate business process needs into system implementation requirements for digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities (MES/ERP).
• Provide expertise in virtual plant design across enterprise systems.
• Align enterprise system implementation across sites and divisions to enable information flow and interoperability.
• Drive business process harmonization across the Research Laboratories network for action within enterprise systems.
• Define and track KPIs to monitor enterprise system adoption and value realization through digital transformation.
• Collaborate with system architects and end-users to ensure scalable, secure implementation of enterprise systems.
• Document system requirements, business processes and system architecture; support training plans as new systems roll out.
