Overview
We are seeking a visionary and performance-driven Director of Digital Marketing to lead the evolution of our digital strategy and help reimagine marketing in the multifamily industry. This role will oversee digital advertising, lead management, and marketing automation, with a mandate to modernize how we attract, engage, and convert renters. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in digital performance marketing and a bold perspective on how to unlock growth in a traditionally slow-to-evolve category.
Responsibilities
Digital Advertising
- Lead full-funnel paid media strategy across platforms like Google, Meta, YouTube, programmatic display, and emerging digital channels.
- Optimize media spend for efficiency and scale, with a relentless focus on ROAS, CPL, and qualified lead volume.
- Explore and test nontraditional media and growth channels to gain competitive advantage.
Lead Management
- Refine a high-performing lead management strategy — from capture and scoring to routing and nurture.
- Collaborate closely with leasing teams and operations to ensure lead flow aligns with business objectives and drives occupancy.
- Develop reporting frameworks to measure the impact of marketing across the renter journey.
Marketing Automation
- Lead the strategy and buildout of marketing automation programs to support prospect communications, re-engagement campaigns, and prospect nurturing.
- Oversee automation platform management ensuring segmentation, personalization, and campaign effectiveness.
- Integrate automation workflows for seamless cross-platform orchestration.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Deep experience in digital marketing with a track record of leading successful performance and automation strategies.
- Proven experience managing digital media budgets and demonstrating bottom line business impact through marketing.
- Strong command of marketing automation platforms, CDP systems, CRM systems, and marketing analytics.
- Strategic thinker with an experimental mindset — eager to push boundaries and bring innovation to a legacy industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire cross-functional collaboration and drive change.
Bonus If You Have
- Experience in real estate, hospitality, or other consumer-driven verticals
- Familiarity with the multifamily customer journey and leasing lifecycle (but not required).
