Daikin Applied Americas invites a senior software engineering leader to serve as Director, Digital Foundry in a Plymouth, MN hybrid/remote role. You will guide delivery across custom software, API integrations, and digital capabilities that align with strategic business priorities.

This role emphasizes engineering standards, governance, and measurable business impact. You will mentor high-performing teams, partner with Product, Architecture, QA, Cybersecurity, and Data leadership, and drive

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of software engineering, application development, SaaS platform delivery, digital product engineering, or related technical leadership.
5+ years leading teams, managers, vendors, or cross-functional engineering delivery.
Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and cloud-based solution patterns.
Familiarity with SaaS platforms such as Salesforce and IFS.

Responsibilities

Lead the Digital Foundry function, overseeing software delivery, governance, and team performance.
Oversee customs software, enterprise extensions, integrations, APIs, and digital capabilities.
Improve engineering standards, practices, and metrics to increase predictability and value.
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, Cybersecurity, and Data teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Drive modernization, debt reduction, automation, and productivity across the portfolio.
