Job summary

Slate is seeking a Director of Digital Experience Design to own the design vision for web, mobile, in-vehicle UI, and future experiences. You will translate brand strategy into cohesive, human-centered design across digital touchpoints.

This senior leader will build and scale the design organization, establish systems, and drive design discussions with product and engineering to influence roadmaps and delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in product design, UX, or UI for high-volume experiences with 5+ years in people leadership.
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of digital products and design systems.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering, and leading multi-surface (web/mobile/in-vehicle) design projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the design vision for customer-facing digital touchpoints (web, mobile, in-vehicle UI).
• Build and scale a design team of UI/UX designers and copywriters.
• Own and evolve Slate's design system with a single source of truth across surfaces.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Brand, and Vehicle design to ensure cohesive identity and delivery.
• Lead design processes within agile delivery, advocate for user-centered decisions at leadership levels.
