BNY is seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Digital Asset Operations to provide senior operational leadership within the Digital Assets Business and Operations team. This role is located in New York City.
Reporting to the Global Head of Digital Asset Operations, this role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our operational processes, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the seamless delivery of services to our institutional clients. The Director is accountable for translating strategic direction into a scalable, resilient, and well‑governed operating model across digital asset custody and related platforms.
The ideal candidate has a security first approach and will possess a strong background in banking, finance, and/or fintech, with a deep understanding of all aspects of custody, execution (inclusive of the aspects of digital wallets, key management, and network providers) and reporting (operational, transactional, financial and regulatory) explicitly for institutional client’s digital assets and BNY’s use of blockchain‑based technology.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The expected base salary for this position when employment commences can be found in the Job Info section at the bottom of the posting.
Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Eligible employees also may receive other benefits (including various paid time off benefits, such as vacation and sick time), dependent on the position offered.
