Job summary

Baptist Health in Corbin, KY, seeks a Director of Diagnostic Imaging to lead the Radiology Support Unit. The role oversees operations, policy development, budgets, and quality metrics while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT certification, a radiology degree, and budget-management experience. A Master's is preferred; AHRA may substitute for the degree. This is a full-time, first-shift position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiology/Imaging required.
• ARRT certification in at least one radiology field.
• KBMIRT license active with ARRT.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Master's degree preferred; AHRA can substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and operational oversight of department activities and patient care.
• Develops policies, procedures, job descriptions, and departmental programs.
• Implements strategic initiatives to improve workflow and patient care.
• Manages departmental budgets, capital purchases, service agreements, equipment, and supplies.
• Oversees quality metrics, regulatory compliance, certifications, accreditations, and customer service.
• Manages recruitment, orientation, training, retention, supervision, performance, and disciplinary actions.
• Monitors staffing and productivity levels for appropriate coverage.
• Supports employee education, competency, and professional development.
• Maintains knowledge of clinical/technical practices, technology, management, and safety requirements.
