Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of DevOps, Release Engineering, or software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in leadership roles managing engineering or DevOps teams.
• Proven experience building and scaling CI/CD pipeline architecture and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all roles in the DevOps Engineering department and supports HR as needed.
• Owns the architecture and maturity of CI/CD pipelines end-to-end across teams.
• Leads adoption of DevSecOps with automated security checks in pipelines.
• Partners with security to define gating, SLAs, and policy-as-code.
• Designs and operates ephemeral environments per branch/PR.
• Owns environment lifecycle automation and cost controls for Azure spend.
• Owns release management, cadence, versioning, and change gates for prod releases.
• Defines deployment strategy with Blue/Green and Canary patterns and automated rollback.
• Evaluates deployment tooling (Argo Rollouts, Flagger, service meshes) for safe rollout.
• Manages workload orchestration in Kubernetes and consults on network changes.
• Maintains IaC and automation aligned with organizational standards.
• Drives KPIs: deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, and change failure rate; conducts RCA/AAR.
