Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Director of Development reporting to the Development Vice President to drive strategic growth opportunities within the healthcare sector. The role focuses on advancing long‑term market strategy and evaluating acquisition, merger, and de‑novo opportunities.

You will lead multiple transactions end‑to‑end, coordinate with the Market Strategy Team and legal counsel, and build robust business plans that secure approvals from executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or consulting preferred.
  • Ability to travel independently up to 25–50% of the time, both locally and non-locally.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to present complex concepts clearly in one‑on‑one and executive settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated capacity to drive positive change and influence relationships with physicians and teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple transactions of varying complexity, managing them from origination through deal close.
  • Work with an Operations executive to structure proposed transactions, develop business plans, and secure legal, compliance, and executive approvals.
  • Participate in deal negotiations and collaborate with legal counsel on the execution of definitive transaction documents, such as Purchase Agreements, Management Agreements, and Operating Agreements.

Compensation

USD $140,000.00 per year (base salary). Potential total compensation up to USD $170,000.00 per year.
