Job summary

Merrick Bank, a South Jordan, Utah–based FDIC-insured financial institution, seeks a Director of Deposit Operations to oversee processing platforms, call-center support, and new product implementations. You will work with the AVP Deposit Manager to ensure efficient deposit operations and strong regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in retail deposit operations, deep knowledge of BSA/AML, Reg. DD, Reg.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent; 4+ years’ experience accepted in lieu.
• 6+ years’ experience in retail deposit operations or front-line deposit servicing and related accounting entries.
• Experience with Consumer compliance regulations (BSA/AML, UDAAP, Reg. DD, OFAC) and call-center oversight.
• Familiarity with core banking software and related subsystems such as internet banking and document management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deposit operations across processing platforms and drive efficiency, automation and scalability.
• Research, plan and implement new deposit processes and products with cost/benefit analysis.
• Develop controls for deposit and call-center operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Lead audits of deposit accounts and collaborate with multiple bank departments to resolve issues.
