Job summary

Merrick Bank is seeking a Director of Deposit Operations to oversee deposit activities, systems, and staff, ensuring efficient processing across platforms. The role drives new deposit products, process improvements, and controls in collaboration with multiple departments and the AVP Deposit Manager.

Candidates should bring 6+ years in retail deposit operations, deep knowledge of bank regulations, and strong analytical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; four or more years of experience accepted in lieu of education.
• Six or more years’ experience in retail deposit operations or front-line deposit servicing and related accounting entries.
• Experience with consumer compliance regulations (BSA/AML, UDAAP, Reg. DD, OFAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee deposit operations for the Bank across multiple processing platforms.
• Research, plan and implement new processes and products including cost/benefit analysis.
• Design and implement controls for deposit and call-center operations.
• Oversee testing and implementation of deposit processes in support of operations.
• Audit account servicing and deposit operations monthly.
