Job summary

Envista Kerr in Pomona, CA, seeks a Director of Manufacturing Process Development to lead the end-to-end development, scale-up, validation, and transfer of dental consumable manufacturing processes in an FDA- and ISO-regulated environment.

The role reports to the VP, Innovation & R&D and requires onsite presence 4 days per week, leading a cross-functional team and driving process ownership across global sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop process development strategy and roadmaps aligned to business priorities.
• Lead and develop a process engineering team.
• Develop scalable manufacturing platforms and reusable process technologies.
• Drive adoption of innovative manufacturing technologies and automation solutions.
• Own process development from feasibility through validation and transfer for dental consumables.
• Characterize material and process behavior with the Chemistry team.
• Apply DOE and statistical methods to define design spaces and controls.
• Lead pilot builds, scale-up, validation, and transfer to manufacturing.
